To join someone else's Friends & Family plan, you need an invitation link that the plan manager will share. The manager is the person who bought the plan or who gets Friends & Family through their organization.
To join a Friends & Family plan, members need to install the Dashlane app in their desktop browser or mobile app. You can't join a Friends & Family plan in the Safari browser.

Get started with Dashlane for iPhone and iPad
We'll pause your current plan if you already have Dashlane. If your previous plan included a VPN, you'll still have access to the VPN. If the Friends & Family plan ends, your previous plan begins again. Your data stays in your account even if you leave the Friends & Family plan.
When you no longer want to be a part of the Friends & Family plan, you need to ask the plan manager to remove you.
Important: If you're using a tablet and don't already have a Dashlane account, you might see a prompt to install the extension. You don't need an extension on a tablet. You'll need to download the Dashlane app, open Settings, and paste the invite link you received.
Open the invitation link in the web app
- Open the invitation link from the manager of the Friends & Family plan.
- On the invite page, enter your email address:
- If you already have a Dashlane account, add yourself to the plan using the same email address you use to log in to Dashlane.

If you're new to Dashlane, add the email you want to use and create your Dashlane account.
- Select Join now. We add you to the plan.
- Log in to your account to access your Friends & Family benefits.

If you're new to Dashlane, you'll need to download the app and follow the instructions on the screen. You'll add the email you want to use and create your Dashlane account.
- In the Dashlane Android app, open Settings in the side menu.
- On the Settings screen, select Join a Friends & Family plan.
- On the Join a Friends & Family plan screen, your email address is populated.
- Paste the invite link.
- Select Join plan. The next screen outlines the plan's benefits. Select Ok, got it. Your account opens.
