Add and manage IDs in Dashlane – Dashlane

You can save details from identification documents, such as passports and social security cards, in Dashlane. Your data stays as secure as your login information. You can quickly and accurately autofill your data whenever you need it.

You can add general ID cards, passports, driver's licenses, social security cards, and tax numbers. For other ID types, save the ID information in a Secure Note. You can also use a Secure Note to attach a photo or scan of any ID. Secure Notes attachments aren't included if you export your data.

Note: In the mobile apps, macOS app, and the Dashlane iPad app, you might see a red warning on your ID that says "Expired" or "Expires soon." Dashlane notifies you three months before the expiration date. This message goes away when you update your IDs.

Add IDs in the Dashlane web version

In the web version, open the IDs section in the left menu.
Select + Add new.
Choose from the available ID types.
Enter your information and select Save.

You can edit or delete an ID anywhere you use Dashlane.

In the web version, select the ID you want to edit or delete. Make your changes and then select Save.

To remove the item from your vault, select Delete and confirm.

Add IDs in the Dashlane iPad/macOS app

To autofill ID info in Safari, install the Dashlane browser extension for Safari.

In the Dashlane iPad or macOS app, open the IDs section in the left menu.
Select the plus (+) icon in the top right of the screen.
Select Add ID.
Choose from the available ID types.
Enter your information and select the checkmark to save.

You can edit or delete an ID anywhere you use Dashlane.

In the Dashlane iPad or macOS app, select the ID to review the info. Then select Edit in the top right of the screen, make your changes, and select the checkmark to save.

To remove the item from your vault, select Delete on the Edit page and confirm.

Add IDs in the Dashlane Android app

To add ID info, select Vault in the Dashlane Android app.
Select + Add new.
Select IDs and choose from the available ID types.
Enter your information and select the checkmark in the top right of the screen to save.

You can edit or delete an ID anywhere you use Dashlane.

In the Android app, select the ID you want to edit or delete, and then select Edit, shown as a pencil icon in the top right of the screen. Make your changes and select the checkmark to save.

To remove the item from your vault, select Delete item and then confirm.

Add IDs in the Dashlane iPhone app

To add ID info, select Home in the Dashlane iPhone app. All the item types appear in a bar near the top. Select IDs, select Add ID, and then choose from the available ID types.

You can also select the plus (+) icon in the top right of the Home screen.

Enter your information and select the checkmark in the top right to save.
