Coverage insights
Coverage provides an overview of Dashlane browser extension coverage, detailing the total number of browsers detected during the reporting period, broken down by activity status:
- Users logged in to vault: The number of browsers that had a user logged in to Dashlane at the time of reporting activity.
- Users logged out or without a vault: The number of browsers that had a user who was either logged out of Dashlane or not using Dashlane at the time of reporting activity.

If you have set up SSO in your organization, we'll also let you know if employees are using weak or compromised passwords to access your organization's online accounts with SSO. This is a severe security risk because compromised credentials can be exploited by bad actors to gain unauthorized access to your organization.
AI Phishing Alerts insights
AI Phishing Alerts provide visibility into potential phishing attempts and user interaction:
- Number of users who stayed on a risky site
- Number of users who entered a password on a risky site detected by AI Phishing Detection
- Number of risky sites detected
- Number of users who left the risky sites

Risk Detection visibility
After setting up Risk Detection, admins of organizations with Credential Protection can see how many of their vault users are visible in the Risk Detection feature in the Users page of the Admin Console.
If admins haven't completed deploying the extension or the Credential Protection policy, or if Risk Detection wasn't turned on, you'll see this indication in the same section of the Users page. So the next step is always clear, we'll tell you to Turn on Risk Detection or Review your deployment, for example, among other indications.
Admins can also see if each plan member is identified by Risk Detection, as there will be a Visible or Not Visible badge across all vault users in the Users page of the Admin Console.

Common questions about Credential Protection insights
Do Credential Protection insights also gather historical data?
Dashlane collects data about plan members' and logged-out and no-account employees' at-risk credential usage only from the moment the browser extension is deployed. Any at-risk password usage or risky website visits that occur on users’ desktop browsers before the extension deployment won’t be included in these insights.
How do I know if an employee's browser is included in Credential Protection insights?
In the employee's browser, go to chrome://policy.
You can check the policy section to see if the MassDeployTeamKey is applied.
Some employees have already installed the browser extension. Will the Credential Protection insights cover those browsers?
If employees manually installed the extension, their browsers won't be covered by Credential Protection insights. You must deploy the Credential Protection policy to those extensions. You won’t need to deploy the extension for these users.

Can I see insights into at-risk credentials entered by all employees, including those who haven't created a Dashlane account?
Yes, Credential Protection insights include all employees, as long as they're using a browser included in the policy and extension deployment, and the Risk Detection, Credential Risk Alerts, Risk Notifications, and AI Phishing Alerts features have been turned on.

Why are there more browsers than actual employees in the Coverage numbers?
The coverage numbers are the number of browsers, not employees. So here are a few reasons for this difference:
- The extension is uninstalled and reinstalled. It will be recognized as a "new browser."
- More than one browser profile is being used. Each browser profile is recognized as a different browser.
- Browsers that have no recent activity won't be included.
