If you share an item with the wrong person or change your mind, you can edit the permission, revoke access after sharing was accepted, or revoke the invitation.
Dashlane never notifies a person when you revoke their access to an item. However, they won't see the item the next time they log in.
Edit or revoke access for a shared item in the web app
Edit permission
- Select the shared item. Then select the Shared access tab.
- Select the 3-dot menu next to the person whose permission you want to change.
- If the person has already accepted your sharing invitation, you’ll see Update permissions and Revoke access.

If the person hasn't accepted your sharing invitation, you’ll see Update permissions and Revoke invitation.
- Select Update permissions to change their permission.
- In the Edit permissions for this item pop-up, select the new permission level.

Select Change rights.
Revoke access
- Select the shared item. Then select the Shared access tab.
- If the person has already accepted your sharing invitation, select the 3-dot menu next to the person’s name and select Revoke access.
- If the person hasn't accepted your sharing invitation, you can cancel your invitation. Select the 3-dot menu next to the person's name, select Revoke invitation.
- Confirm your action in the pop-up.

If you delete an item someone shared with you, Dashlane won’t delete the item from the creator’s Dashlane account.

- Go to Logins, Secure Notes, or Secrets and select the shared item. In the Shared access section, you can see how many groups and individuals the item is shared with.
- Select View all to view the list.
- On the Shared access screen, select the 3-dot menu next to the person whose permission you want to change.
- If the person has already accepted your sharing invitation, you’ll have two options: Update permission and Revoke access.
- If the person hasn't accepted your sharing invitation, you’ll have three options: Update permission, Resend your invitation, and Cancel your invitation.

Select Update permission.
- On the Select permission level screen, choose the new permission.

Select Update at the bottom of the screen.
Revoke access
- Go to Logins, Secure Notes, or Secrets and select the shared item. In the Shared access section, you can see how many groups and individuals the item is shared with.
- Select View all to view the list.

On the Shared access screen, select the 3-dot menu next to the person whose permission you want to revoke.
- Select Revoke access. If the person hasn't accepted the sharing request, you can also select Cancel your request.
- In the next pop-up, select Revoke access to confirm.

- If the person hasn't accepted your sharing invitation, you can cancel your invitation. Select the 3-dot menu next to the person’s name, select Revoke invitation.
- If the person has already accepted your sharing invitation, select the 3-dot menu next to the person’s name and select Revoke access.
- Confirm your action in the pop-up.

- Select the person or group you want to stop sharing an item with.
- Select the 3-dot menu next to the item you want to stop sharing. Then select Revoke access.
