If you have an account protected by a Master Password, unlock options like PIN unlock or biometric unlock don't completely replace your Master Password.
With these options turned on, you lock and unlock Dashlane with your PIN, face, or fingerprint. But we'll still ask for your Master Password in these situations:
- After you restart your device
- If you log out manually
- After three incorrect tries to enter your PIN or when you have trouble unlocking Dashlane with your face or fingerprint
- When you change certain settings, such as turning on unlock options or updating your Master Password
- From time to time, to help you remember your Master Password
