Dark Web Insights helps admins of Dashlane professional plans find and limit security risks in their organizations.
Dark Web Insights scans the dark web for your employees' email addresses to find breaches that affect your domain. The tool covers all employees, even employees who don't have a Dashlane account.
When you set up Dark Web Insights, Dashlane automatically adds plan members' work email addresses to Dark Web Monitoring. Plan members then get alerts if their data is compromised, and they can manage their own breaches. Plan members should change any password related to an alert right away.

When Dashlane finds new breaches, a red box appears in the Insights Dashboard of the Admin Console. Red dots also mark new breaches on the Dark Web Insights page.
When you set up Dark Web Insights, you can verify all the domains your organization owns. If you verify domains in your single sign-on (SSO) setup, Dashlane adds them to Dark Web Insights automatically.
Use Dark Web Insights
After you set up Dark Web Insights and run the first scan, find your results in the Dark Web Insights section of the Admin Console.
If Dashlane finds a breach, the page shows the affected employee email addresses and their plan member status. You'll also see the number of incidents, the date of the last incident, and the types of data involved. Data types can include usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, and IP addresses.
To export the list, select Download CSV. The CSV file includes:
- Affected email addresses
- Domains of the affected email addresses
- Affected data, such as usernames and passwords
- Incident dates
- The status of each item: "new" if the item wasn't in your last export, or "viewed" if the item was in your last export
Note: You might see breaches for former employees.
You can invite employees with breached data who aren't on your Dashlane plan yet.
- In Dark Web Insights, select Invite next to the employee's email address. To invite all employees who aren't plan members, select Invite all.
- In the pop-up, add or remove email addresses as needed and select Send invites.
