You can turn on 2-factor authentication (2FA) for important logins like bank accounts in any Dashlane app. After you turn on 2FA, you'll use 2FA to log in to that account everywhere you use Dashlane.
For logins with 2FA, Dashlane can autofill the 2FA token. A 2FA token is also referred to as an OTP, one-time password, and some websites call them security codes. A 2FA token is an automatically generated string of characters used to prove it's really you. You can use a 2FA token only once.
Autofill is turned on automatically in the Android app and iOS 18/macOS 15 apps.
iOS 17 (Apple) and earlier
You can autofill 2FA tokens for specific logins with the Dashlane mobile app. When you log in to a site or app with 2FA set up, a pop-up appears saying your code is ready to paste. Select paste in the space for the code. Dashlane autofills your token.
To turn on autofill on an iOS device, go to Settings, select General, and turn on Copy 2FA token automatically.
iOS 18/macOS 15 and later
With a mobile Apple device running iOS 18 or on your computer running macOS 15, you can autofill 2FA tokens requested by your system directly from your Dashlane vault.
- Tap or place your cursor in the field where you enter the 6-digit code or token.
- Preceding the keyboard, information from your vault appears with a key icon. Select the area.
- The code or token appears in the field, and you can continue to log in.
