The page offers to create an account, but if you already have one, select Log in at the top right of the window.
- In the Email field, type your Dashlane ID (the email address you used to set up Dashlane) and select Next.
- Enter the security code and your Master Password. Learn more about security codes in the next section.
- Click Log in again.
If you've forgotten your Master Password, visit our Master Password troubleshooting guide.

Security code
When you first log in to your account on a given device, Dashlane requires you to authorize this new device and sends a security code by email. Unless you specified a different contact email address in the Preferences section of the application, Dashlane sends the code to the email address you used when creating your account. Check your inbox for an email from Dashlane, which typically arrives within about 30 seconds.
If you set up 2-factor authentication (2FA), the code will be provided by your third-party authenticator app instead.
Enter the security code and then your Master Password to authenticate the device.
To manage the devices authorized to access your Dashlane account:
- Log to the web app.
- In the My Account menu, select Settings then Manage Activity.
If the security code you received is invalid, you can request a new one by selecting Resend code.
Because security codes are unique and valid for only 3 hours, please check the time of day we sent it to you to know whether you need to request a new code. If, after trying multiple times, you continue to get your security code more than 3 hours after requesting it, you can change your contact email address.
Change your contact email address
Attempt to log in to your Dashlane account again to send a security code to this new address. If you need more help, please visit our security code and 2-factor authentication (2FA) code troubleshooting guide.

2-factor authentication
To activate 2FA:
- Log in to the web app.
- In the My Account menu, select Settings then Security settings.
- Turn on 2-factor authentication.
When you turn on 2FA, Dashlane will no longer send you security codes by email. Instead, you get a 6-digit security code from the Dashlane Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or any other third-party authenticator app. Your authenticator app generates this code automatically every 30 seconds. To get the code, you must have the 2FA authenticator app installed on your mobile device.
