You have three ways to use Dashlane's auto-login feature:
Option 1: Go to your website as usual
Option 2: Access the website from the Dashlane extension pop-up
Option 3: Access the website directly from the web app
Dashlane customers can now use passkeys instead of passwords to log in to compatible sites and apps.

Option 1: Go to your website as usual
Depending on your settings, Dashlane logs you in automatically if you have a login saved for that website.
Dashlane displays small versions of our company logo whenever a field on a website can be autofilled or saved. The color of the Dashlane D shows what your next step is. A dark green D icon means Dashlane has the information, and a gray D icon means Dashlane doesn't yet have this information.
When you log in to a website on your Android, iPhone, or iPad, Dashlane D icons don't appear in form fields.

Gray Dashlane D
A gray D icon means we've detected the field but don't see the appropriate data in your Dashlane account to autofill the field. You can select the gray D icon to add a login to your vault. Make sure to create your login on the website with the info generated in Dashlane.
You can also select the 3-dot menu in the pop-up to autofill something else.
If you have an existing account on this website and want Dashlane to remember your login details, enter your username and password and log in. Dashlane asks if you want to save this data as a new login. Then the login can be autofilled the next time you want to log in to this website.

Option 2: Access the website from the Dashlane extension pop-up
- In your browser, select the Dashlane D. The extension pop-up opens where you can search or browse for the login details you've stored in Dashlane.
- Select Open website to go to that site and have Dashlane log you in automatically.
Select Vault in the top menu to see logins relevant to the website you're visiting. If you don't have a login saved in Dashlane for the website you're visiting, Dashlane suggests you add one.
If you have multiple logins for a website, Dashlane asks which one you want to use and then logs you into that account using its login details.
Option 3: Access the website directly from the web app
- In the web app, go to your Logins section and find the website you want to log in to.
- To open the website, hover over the row and select Go to website, shown as a small square icon with an arrow.
Tip: When you search for logins in the search bar, you can also open the website directly from the search results.
