How to configure Smart Space Management for Dashlane Business
Smart Space Management is a Dashlane Business feature that allows admins to put company items in the Business Space, either by suggestion or rule, based on a company's domain. This feature, when fully enabled, triggers all credentials matching the company domains to be stored in the Business Space for all users on the account. Ensuring business passwords are stored in Business Space gives admins a more accurate look at their employees’ password habits by providing more accurate security scores while giving users secure and clear distinctions between company related and personal items.
The domain is referred to as the Company Domain in the Admin Console.
After adding your company's email domain(s), Dashlane will automatically suggest relevant Space attribution based on this information when new passwords are added to your Dashlane account.
This feature allows Dashlane Business members to have specific credentials added in a smooth manner to the Business Space or forced to a Space in the Dashlane application based on the intended configuration of the account admin within the Admin Console. For example, when a new credential containing a company domain is added by a team member, Dashlane will automatically attribute this credential to the Business Space, or force it to Business Space, based on the setting enabled by the admin. A company domain can exist in the following parts of a credential:

Smart Space Management
Smart Space Management is enabled by default once a company's domain is added in the Admin Console. When enabled, Dashlane will automatically suggest relevant Space attribution based on the company's domain. However, users will still have the ability to change the Space of the credential if they choose so. To ensure credentials are always stored (forced) in the Business Space, admins need to enable a second feature, which is detailed below.
Configuring Smart Space Management
Smart Space Management is enabled by default in Dashlane Business accounts when a company's domain set up in the Admin Console.
To set up or edit the company domain, log in to the Admin Consol and click on Settings in the top bar.
In the General section, add your company's email domain(s). After, all credentials that contain the email domain(s) will be added to the company space by default.
Forcing company items to the Business Space
Forcing company items to the Business Space ensures credentials related to a company domain are stored in the Business Space, and will not allow members to change the Space of that credential.
Configuring items that are Forced to the Business Space
To configure Smart Space Management, log in to the Admin Console and click on Settings in the top bar.
In the General section, add your company's email domain(s). When an email domain is saved, all corresponding credentials are moved to the company space by default.
Turning the feature on
To force company items to the Business Space, scroll down to the Company Space Settings section, and switch on Force company items to company space.
With this feature enabled, users are unable to move passwords to their Personal Space.
