If you're on any of our plans—Free, Premium, Friends & Family, Starter, Team, or Business—you can store files safely in Secure Notes. For example, you can create a "Travel Docs" note and attach scans of your passport and other documents for your next trip abroad.
Our secure file storage uses the same powerful security system that protects the rest of your data. Wherever you have access to Dashlane, you can access the files. And because Dashlane backs up your data, you never have to worry about losing files.
File storage features
With secure file storage, you can store files in most common formats. These file types are accepted:
- Documents: DOC, DOCX, KEY, NUMBERS ODS, ODT, PDF, PPT, PPTX, TXT, XLS, XLXS
- Media: 3GP, AAC, AVI, BMP, FLAC, GIF, JPG, M4A, MKV, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPG, OGG, PNG, RAW, TIFF, WAV, WEBM, WMV
- Other: 7Z, DB, RAR, ZIP
- Documents without extensions
You can store up to 1 GB of files in your account, and each file can be up to 50 MB.
For security reasons, you can't currently view files in Dashlane. To view them, you need to download them to your device.
For now, you can't share Secure Notes that have files attached, and you can't attach files to Secure Notes that are already shared. Files attached to Secure Notes aren't included in DASH exports either.
