In few easy steps, Premium users can use Dashlane's web app to import the passwords they previously saved in Chrome.
Previously, to import passwords saved in your browsers, you had to do this either from your desktop device or by using your Android device. But if you're a Chrome user and have used the browser to remember your passwords, the method described here is a simple, easy way to get Dashlane securely autofilling your passwords, and saving you time and effort online.

- Log in to your account on the web app
- Select "Import Passwords"
- Export your passwords from Chrome
- Locate the .csv file for import and click "Upload"
- Click "View Passwords"
To import your passwords from Chrome using the web app, you will first need to export the passwords from Chrome itself. From here, you will locate the exported file and securely import it into your Dashlane account. You will be shown how many passwords were added, then be taken to your Vault to see them in the app.
Some new Chrome users will have automatically been invited to use this capability when they created their account. If wasn't suggested to you, you skipped it at the time, or you simply want to use the feature, follow the steps here to export your passwords from Chrome.
1. Log in to your account on the web app
Please visit the web app at app.dashlane.com and log in to your Dashlane account.
2. Select "Import Passwords"
In the web app, you will want to click on the gear icon or My Account and then click Import Passwords.
3. Export your passwords from Chrome
At this point, you will need to confirm that you have exported your passwords from Chrome by clicking I've exported my passwords. Here are instructions from Google which explain how to export your saved passwords from Chrome. This will export your passwords as a .csv file onto your computer.
4. Locate the .csv file for import and click "Upload"
On the next screen, you can either drag and drop the .csv file, or click browse your computer to locate and select the file. Once you located the file you want to import, please click the Upload button.
5. Click "View Passwords"
The import should only take a second or two, and then a new window will appear displaying how many passwords were imported into your vault. Click the View Passwords button.
At this point, the window will close, and you should see the passwords are now displaying in your Vault. You're all set to start using Dashlane to securely autofill these passwords across the internet!
