Accepting the request in Dashlane
Log in to Dashlane. Under "Contacts," go to the Emergency page.
There you will see the pending request. Click Accept.
Note that once you have accepted, the user who has requested you be their Emergency contact will need to log out and back in at least once for the setup to be complete.
Requesting emergency access
As a contact, to request access to someone's data, go to the Emergency section of your app, and click on the key next to that person's email address, then Send request.
The person whose data you requested will then receive an email and an in-app message alerting them that you have requested access. They will be able to grant or decline the request from the pop-up they received or else directly from the Emergency section.
Once you have been given access, you will see in your Emergency section that for that contact, "Their data is viewable."
Click the magnifying glass icon to view the list of credentials and Secure Notes to which you were given access. Click on the lock icon next to each item to view it.
