The Dashlane extension for Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, and Edge can no longer communicate with the Dashlane desktop applications for Windows and macOS. This means that the web app and extension are now the only ways to use Dashlane's autofill on a computer.
To use the web app, you only need to install the Dashlane extension in your browser and log in to your Dashlane account in the extension.
Install the Dashlane extension in Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, or Edge
In the following article, you'll find all the information you need to install Dashlane in our supported browsers: Getting started with the Dashlane web app.
Log in to Dashlane in the extension or web app
You have two ways to log in to your Dashlane account in your browser:
- Click the (orange) Dashlane extension icon in your browser's toolbar and enter your login information.
- Go to https://app.dashlane.com/login, which will redirect you to the embedded web app's login page (see below), and enter your login information.
After logging in, the extension icon will turn green and you'll be able to use all the Dashlane features in your browser.
How to use the web app in Safari
Safari will offer a different experience. You can learn more about the Dashlane for Safari - Legacy app extension, but note that our web app is not embedded into it, so you'll need to log in to your account at https://app.dashlane.com/login as well to have access to all your data.
