With Dashlane Free, you can access your personal password manager on one device at a time. For example, if you're signed in to our mobile app on your phone, you can't use our web app at the same time on your computer. Also, each browser you use is considered a device. If you're signed in on Chrome, you can't sign in on Firefox.
To use a new device, you need to unlink the old one. We try to make this process as simple as possible.
Access Dashlane Free on the web
If you log in to our web app while already logged in on another device, you'll see a screen saying that your plan supports only one device. You can transfer your data and connect to the web app. Or you can upgrade to our Premium plan to access Dashlane on all your devices at once.
- If you want to continue and use Dashlane on this device, select Start transfer.
- Then, select Confirm & unlink on the next screen to confirm your choice.
Dashlane removes your data from the other device and securely transfers it to the new device.
Note: When you unlink a device, you remove all Dashlane data from that device. Since we back up your data on our servers, you have access anytime you sign in to your account. When you change devices, we transfer your data securely to a new device.
You can also select Upgrade to Premium. The Dashlane Premium plan gives you access to our apps on multiple devices at the same time, along with other upgrades.
Access Dashlane Free on mobile
When you log in to Dashlane on mobile while already connected on another device, you can unlink the previous device and connect to the mobile app. Or you can upgrade to our Premium plan.
To continue, select Unlink previous device, then select Unlink on the next screen to confirm your choice. Or select Upgrade to Premium for upgraded features, including access to Dashlane on all your devices at the same.
