With our Dashlane Free plan, you can store up to 50 passwords on one device. To access your Dashlane account on a new device, you will need to unlink the previously used device. Unlinking your previous device removes your data from this device and securely transfers it to the new device.
As a Dashlane Free user, although you can log in to your account on more than one device, you cannot synchronize your passwords and data between them. In the past, our users have occasionally encountered certain situations (such as your device being lost, stolen, broken, or reset), which would cause their data to be lost. Fortunately, we introduced the One-Device Limit experience so that your data is backed up on our servers, and can be redownloaded once you sign in to your account again.

On desktop
After entering your Dashlane ID and Master Password to log in to your account on our desktop app, you will see the screen below, informing you that your current plan supports only one device.
This screen provides three options: Log out, Unlink previous device, and See Premium plan. In order to access your Dashlane account on this device, you will need to select Unlink previous device.
Otherwise, you can click Log out to back out of this process, or upgrade to our Premium plan by selecting See Premium plan.
Once you click Unlink previous device, you will need to confirm your choice on the next screen by clicking Unlink. At this point, your data will be removed from the previously linked device and be securely transferred to the new device. Once this is complete, you will arrive in your Password vault and can proceed to use Dashlane as you normally would.
Please note that when signing in to your Dashlane on a new MacOS device or via our web app, your previously used devices will be automatically revoked and your data transferred to this new device. You will not see the above prompt.
On mobile
After entering your Dashlane ID and Master Password to log in to your account on our mobile app, you will see the screen show below, informing you that your current plan supports only one device.
On this screen, you have two options: See Premium plan and Unlink previous device. To use your Dashlane account on this device, select Unlink previous device.
Alternatively, you can tap on See Premium plan and upgrade to Dashlane Premium.
Once you tap Unlink previous device, you will need to confirm your choice on the next screen by tapping Unlink. At this point, your data will be removed from the previously linked device and be securely transferred to the new device. Once this is complete, you will arrive in your Password vault and can proceed to use Dashlane as you normally would.

If you prefer to access your Dashlane data on multiple devices simultaneously, you can upgrade to our Premium plan.
Selecting See Premium plan while logging in to your account will open a window where you can get more information about the pricing and features included in our Premium offering.
