The Dashlane web app delivers an updated and improved Dashlane experience, allowing you to autofill and manage your passwords directly within your browser. The Dashlane for Safari - Legacy extension is completely independent of the Dashlane - Legacy app.

If you haven't already created your account, you can do so directly within the extension.

Touch ID compatibility
The Dashlane for Safari - Legacy extension allows you to log in to Dashlane and unlock your vault using the Touch ID biometric feature on your Mac.
You can enable it on the Extension preferences menu by selecting the Use Touch ID option.
Note that when you enable Use Touch ID, the option to remember your Master Password for 14 days will be disabled.
Unlock Dashlane with your Apple Watch
If you own an Apple Watch, you can use it to unlock the Dashlane for Safari - Legacy extension.
Please note: To use this feature, you must enable the Auto-Unlock feature on your Mac.
- On your Mac, go to the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
- Click Security & Privacy, and then click General.
- Select the “Allow Apple Watch to unlock your Mac” check box.
Easier password copy-paste feature
When accessing your Vault, you're able to copy the email and password directly from the credential list.
History on Password Generator
The new, more advanced Password Generator tab allows you to see the history of the passwords generated by it on a timeline. You can do this by clicking Show history.
To reveal the passwords themselves, hover over a password and click Show to reveal the generated password. You can also show multiple passwords at the same time.
The Dashlane for Safari - Legacy extension is compatible with Mac's Dark Mode.
