We strongly recommend adopting our new extension, which we're constantly enriching. It may not yet include every feature found in the desktop app, but it offers a better overall experience for the features you care about most, such as autofill.

* Payments: Only credit cards can be added in the Standalone extension, whereas the desktop app also allows PayPal and bank accounts.
* Secure file storage: Though the Standalone extension doesn't allow you to add new files, it will allow you to download the ones you already added.
* Password History: Only generated passwords can be retrieved in the Standalone extension's history. The desktop app's Password History shows modifications and deletions of passwords as well.
* Import passwords: The desktop app allows importing from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer, multiple other password managers, CSV files, and Dashlane Secure Archive (.dash). The Standalone extension currently allows importing from Chrome only.
