Dashlane identified that some teams' self-hosted encryption services have failed to update to the latest version (1.8.1). This affects some professional plan teams using Self-Hosted SSO. You'll need to complete a manual update by September 30, 2026, to keep your team's data protected.
We've sent an email to all organization admins who need to take action regarding this encryption service update. If you haven't received an email about this update, you don't need to do anything.
If you'd rather not manage this update yourself, you can migrate to Confidential SSO instead. We host and maintain the encryption service for you, so there's no AWS infrastructure to update, now or in the future. Update your encryption service
Your team's encryption service runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) via a CloudFormation stack, a set of resources defined by a template. To fix a stuck update, you replace the stack's current template with a newer one hosted on Amazon S3. Follow these simple steps:

Go to the AWS Management Console and select CloudFormation.

In the search bar, enter encryption (or sso if your stack still uses the old naming) to find your encryption service stack.

Select your stack, then select Update.

On the Update stack screen, select Replace current template, then enter this Amazon S3 URL:
https://s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/public-cloudformation.dashlane.com/encryption-service/sam-app/template-latest.yaml -
Select Next through the remaining screens. Your existing parameters carry over, so no changes are needed.
- On the final screen, select the consent checkbox, then select Submit.
Your stack will be updated to the current version of the encryption service. If the update fails or you run into an issue at any step, select Chat with bot in the bottom right of this page to contact Customer Support.
