Device coverage tracks the progress of your deployment. It shows how many company-managed devices Dashlane has detected and compares that number to your Coverage goal—the number of devices you're aiming to cover, which defaults to your total purchased seats. The bar also shows what's left to close the coverage gap, shown as a percentage.

Check your device coverage
Go to the Policy Deployment page in the Admin Console to see how your detected devices align with your goal. To change the number, select Coverage goal.
Note: If your detected device count exceeds your coverage goal, Device Coverage shows the excess devices as an overage rather than an error.
Common questions
How is my device count calculated?
Your device count is a cumulative total—the number of unique devices Dashlane has ever detected, not just the devices active right now.
Does my coverage goal ever reset to the default?
No. Your coverage goal resets only when you reset it yourself. Logging out, refreshing the page, or returning to the Admin Console later won't reset a goal you've saved.
My device count is higher than my coverage goal—is that a problem?
No. It just means more devices are enrolled than your original goal. Device Coverage shows this as an overage. You can raise your coverage goal to match your actual count if you'd like the progress display to reflect it.
My device count seems lower than expected
A few common reasons explain a lower device count than expected:
- Employees haven't opened the browser since the extension was deployed, so Dashlane hasn't detected their devices yet.
- Devices were offline during deployment and haven't reconnected.
-
Credential Risk Detection is turned off, so Dashlane isn't collecting logs even though the extension is installed.
I see a "waiting for activity" status – what does that mean?
A "waiting for activity" status means your deployment configuration is complete — you've downloaded the policy and confirmed all setup steps — but Dashlane hasn't detected device activity yet. A delay of a few days is normal. Devices appear once employees open the browser with the deployed extension, so allow up to 5 days for activity to show up across your fleet.
