Passkeys are a highly convenient and secure way to log in to your online accounts—including websites, apps, social media profiles, and bank accounts. Passkeys provide a safer, easier, and faster way to log in than passwords, and they may replace passwords in the future as the main way you access your accounts.
Logging in with a passkey is easy. In some cases, you'll use your fingerprint or facial recognition to log in the same way you unlock your mobile device. If you’re using Dashlane to store your passkeys, you’ll see a pop-up asking you to confirm that you want to log in. After confirming, you’ll be logged in automatically.
But passkeys are also far more secure than the best passwords. Passkeys are phishing-resistant and are based on industry standards. Unlike passwords, passkeys can't be stolen or guessed. Passkeys are always unique and strong and don’t require storing private information on servers.
You can save and manage passkeys with any Dashlane app. The passkeys you store in our app are synced across your devices, and you can use them to log in anywhere you use Dashlane.
