This article applies to Dashlane accounts protected by a Master Password. If you have a passwordless Dashlane account, you don't log in to Dashlane in the traditional way.
Passwordless login for Dashlane
You can log in to Dashlane on your Android mobile device, iPhone, or iPad. You can also log in to the macOS app for your Mac computer or in your browser on any computer.

Supported devices and browsers
Log in through the Dashlane browser extension pop-up
You'll need the Dashlane browser extension installed to log in to Dashlane in your computer browser. The Dashlane browser extension provides the strongest security to protect your data and privacy, and offers access to our full-featured web app.
You can use the Dashlane browser extension only on a computer, not on mobile devices, such as phones and tablets.
On your computer, you log in through the Dashlane extension. Select the orange Dashlane D icon in your browser toolbar. If you don't see the Dashlane D, you may need to install the extension or pin it to your toolbar.
Install and pin the Dashlane browser extension

Enter your login email address in the extension pop-up.
For first-time logins on a new device or if you've turned on 2-factor authentication (2FA), a security check is performed. This security check confirms the request is genuine, so attackers can't fake the process or trick you into a login on a fake website. Then, you'll be prompted to enter a verification code sent by email or a 2FA token. Enter the code or token.
- Enter your Master Password and select Log in.
If the Dashlane D is orange/red, you aren't logged in. If the Dashlane D is green/blue, you're already logged in. You can select the D icon to open the extension and then select Open the web app to open Dashlane in your browser.
Log in to Dashlane in your computer browser
If you have the Dashlane browser extension installed, you can also log in through your computer browser.
- On our website, select Log in in the top right of the page.

Enter your Dashlane login email address and select Next.
If you've already used Dashlane in this browser, your email address might be prefilled when you open the login page. If your email address is prefilled, select Next.
You can also change a prefilled email address. Select the address and then select Use other account. Then enter your email address and select Next.

For first-time logins on a new device or if you've turned on 2-factor authentication (2FA), a new tab opens to run a security check. This security check confirms the request is genuine, so attackers can't fake the process or trick you into a login on a fake website.
Note: You might need to turn off your ad blocker or add Dashlane to the list of allowed websites.
You'll be asked to enter a verification code sent by email or a 2FA token. Enter the code or token.
- Enter your Master Password and select Log in.
Log in to the Dashlane macOS app
- Open the Dashlane macOS app.
- Select I already have an account.

Enter your login email address and select Next.

Then enter the verification code sent by email or a 2FA token, and select Next.

If the D icon is dark gray or dark blue, you're already logged in. Select the D icon to open the Dashlane extension. You can then select Open the app to open the macOS app.
Log in to Dashlane on your Android device
Note: You can't use the Dashlane browser extension on a mobile device or tablet—only on your computer.
- Download the Android app from Google Play
- Open the Dashlane app on your Android device.

Log in to Dashlane on your iPhone/iPad
Note: You can't use the Dashlane browser extension on a mobile device or tablet—only on your computer.
- Download the iPhone/iPad app from the Apple App Store
- Open the Dashlane app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Select Log in.
