Dashlane offers multiple methods for transferring data, so you can choose the method that works best for you.
-
CSV file: You can export your data using a CSV file. CSV files aren't encrypted, and others can read them. We recommend that you delete the CSV file from your device after you're finished using it.
-
Credential Exchange: You can also move passwords, passkeys, and verification codes between Dashlane and participating password managers for iOS and Android devices. The feature is part of a broader industry push for open standards, giving you more control and flexibility.
- Credential Exchange is available on Apple devices running iOS 26 or macOS 26 or later. This feature is available with the Dashlane app for iPhone, iPad, or your Mac computer, but not the Dashlane browser extension.
-
Credential Exchange is available on Android devices running Android 10 or later and updated to the latest version of Google Play Services.

DASH file: If you're trying to back up your data or change Dashlane accounts, use a secure DASH file instead.
