A recovery key lets you regain access if you forget your Master Password or can’t log in to your passwordless account protected by a PIN. Set up your key now, before you need it.

If you log in with single sign-on (SSO), you can't use a recovery key. Ask your plan admin about admin-assisted recovery.

Warning: Dashlane doesn't know or store your Master Password, so we can't send or reset your Master Password if you forget it. If you have a passwordless account protected by a PIN, you log in with your devices instead of a Master Password. Without a recovery method, you might need to reset your account if you forget your Master Password or lose access to your devices. A reset erases all your data.
Set up your recovery key in the web version
Before you start, update Dashlane to the latest version
- Select the Dashlane D in your browser's toolbar and enter your Master Password if prompted. In the extension pop-up, select Open the web app.
-
Open the Vault menu in the top left of the page. Select Settings and then Security settings.
