This article is for Dashlane personal plan users and admins of professional plans who log in to their accounts with a Master Password. The ability to change your login email on a passwordless account will be available in the future. All Dashlane customers with a passwordless or Master Password account can change their contact email anytime.
Change your contact email address in Dashlane
If you have a personal plan and log in to your Dashlane account with a Master Password, you can change your login email address in all Dashlane apps. Admins of professional plans can also change their login email address.
Members of professional plans that log in with a Master Password or Confidential SSO can ask their plan admins to change their login email addresses.
For admins: Change the login email address for your professional plan members
Prerequisites
If you have a personal plan:
- You log in to your Dashlane account with a Master Password
- You have access to the email address you want to use as your new login email
If you are an admin on a professional plan:
- If your organization has verified one or more email domains in Dashlane, you can only change your login email to an email address with a verified domain
- You have access to the email address you want to use as your new login email
Important: To verify an email domain in Dashlane, your organization needs to own that domain. As an admin, you can verify an email domain when you set up Confidential SSO or Dark Web Insights. With Confidential SSO, you can verify several domains. At this time, you can only verify one domain with Dark Web Insights.

Select where you want to change your login email address.
Change the email address in the web app

Log in to the Dashlane browser extension and open the web app.

Open the Vault menu in the top left of the app. Select Settings and then Account summary.
- Select the edit button, shown as a pencil, next to the Login email. Enter your Master Password and select Next.

Enter your new login email and select Confirm change. We’ll send a verification code to that email address.

In the pop-up, enter the verification code sent to your new email address and select Confirm change.
Change the email address in the Android app
- Log in to the Android app.
- Select Settings and then Account summary.
- Select the edit button, shown as a pencil, next to the Login email. You'll be asked for your Master Password, biometrics, or your PIN code to continue.
- Enter your new login email and select Confirm changes. We’ll send a verification code to that email address.
- In the pop-up, enter the verification code sent to your new email address and select Next.
Change the email address in the iPhone app
- Log in to the iPhone app.
- Select Settings and then Account summary.
- Select the edit button, shown as a pencil, next to the Login email. You'll be asked for your Master Password, biometrics, or your PIN code to continue.
- Enter your new login email and select Next. We’ll send a verification code to that email address.

Change the email address in the macOS app
- Log in to the macOS app.

Select Settings and then Account summary.
- Select the edit button, shown as a pencil, next to the Login email. You'll be asked for your Master Password, biometrics, or your PIN code to continue.
- Enter your new login email and select Next. We’ll send a verification code to that email address.
- In the pop-up, enter the verification code sent to your new email address and select Next.
Log in to Dashlane with your new login email address
On the device or browser you used to change the login email, you can select Log in to Dashlane after inserting the verification code and log in directly.
On other devices or browsers, you’ll have to authenticate your device or browser as though you’re logging in to Dashlane for the first time.
Common questions about changing the email address you use to log in to Dashlane
Can I change the email address back to what it was before?
Yes, as long as you have access to the email address you want to use, you can change the login email address as many times as you want.
Will the contact email address change when changing the login email?
If the contact email and the original login email are the same, both email addresses will be updated when you change the login email. If the contact email and the original login email are different, this change won't affect the contact email address. You can change the contact email address in your Dashlane account.
