When transferring your data to a brand new account, or resetting your existing account, you will first want to back up your data. Below are instructions for how to export your data and how to restore your data from a backup.
You cannot currently choose which parts of your data will be exported. Your export will include all of your data.
Note that it is currently only possible to create a backup on Windows, macOS and Android.

Before starting
Note that you can change the name of the export file and move it wherever you need to in order to restore your data. If you prefer to print and keep a hard copy of your data, you can also export it in Excel or CSV format (on Windows and macOS only). If you do so, remember to keep this in a safe place!
If your account is linked to a business plan and Smart Space Management is enabled, any passwords that are enforced under the Company Space will not be exported. We advise you to speak with your admin before resetting your account. Users on a Dashlane Business plan with SSO enabled are currently only able to use an Android device to perform a backup.
Also note that if you are part of a Dashlane Business plan with SSO enabled, as you do not have a Master Password, you will be asked to authenticate with SSO, or else your biometrics if you previously have enabled the Biometric unlock feature.

Restoring your data from a backup
Restoring your data from a backup can only be done on Windows, macOS and Android.
When importing a backup file, all the data that were previously saved in your account at the moment the backup was made will be imported into your account. It is not possible to import only some of the data.
We recommend that you restore your backup file into a new, empty account, otherwise you may end up with duplicates. If you would like to reset your account and start over before importing a backup file, please refer to this article and follow the instructions for someone who has forgotten their Master Password.
