In some cases, you can get a free Premium trial of a Dashlane plan or a discount when you sign up. Dashlane offers free Premium trials for students and anyone who gets a friend to sign up for a plan. We also offer a discount for nonprofits signing up for professional plans.
Free Premium trials cancel automatically at the end of the trial period. Then you'll have a Dashlane Free account unless you buy a subscription to another Dashlane plan. You don't lose any data saved in Dashlane when the trial ends.
New and existing Dashlane Free users can save up to 25 logins in their vault. If you have more than 25 logins at the end of your trial, you can’t add any new logins unless you upgrade or remove logins in your account so that you have 25 or fewer. If you have more than 25 logins in your Dashlane Free account, your account will be changed to read-only mode.

What is a VPN?
Free Dashlane Premium trial for students
Students with a valid university email address can get a free trial of Dashlane Premium for one year.
- Go to our student offer sign-up page
- Enter your email address and select Get Dashlane Premium now.
- We'll ask you to download our app. Download the Dashlane extension or mobile app, depending on your device.
- When you open the app, select Create an account and open a Dashlane account using your student email address.
Your free Premium trial begins automatically. You can check that your trial is active by going to the My account menu in the web app and selecting Subscription. Your current plan will be listed as Premium Trial. Your trial will end one year from the date you signed up.
If you don't see your free trial, you can get help through our support chatbot. Open the chatbot by selecting the Chat with bot icon, shown as a speech bubble, at the bottom of any Help Center page. In the chatbot, follow the prompts and briefly describe your issue. Our Customer Support team may need to add your university to our list of organizations eligible for the student trial.

Free Dashlane Premium trial when you refer a friend
Dashlane customers can invite friends to join Dashlane. If your friend accepts your invitation, you both get six months of Dashlane Premium for free. You can refer up to four people for a maximum of two years of free Premium. If you've reached the limit already, you can no longer get free Premium for referring more people.

If you already have a Dashlane subscription when you make a referral, your six months of free Premium begin at the end of your current subscription period.
You can make a referral from the Dashlane web app or mobile app. In the web app, you can also view your referral history.
Why didn't I get six months of free Premium for my referral?
Refer a friend to Dashlane and view your referral history in the web app
- In the Dashlane web app, select the My account menu.
- Select Settings and then Refer a friend.
- Copy the link and send to friends by email or share on social media. Or you can enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas, in the space provided. Then select Send invites.
In the Referrals section, you can see who you've invited. If your friend has accepted your invite, you'll see the date they signed up. If you can't see the Referrals section, you haven't sent an invite.
Refer a friend to Dashlane in the mobile app
- In the side menu on your Android phone or in the bottom menu on your iPhone, select Settings.
- Select Invite your friends.
- Share directly through your messaging or social media apps.
Why didn't I get six months of free Premium for my referral?
If you referred a friend but haven't gotten your reward, make sure your friend signed up for Dashlane and used the link you sent them when they created their account. You can also send the person you referred another invite to a different email address.

If the person already had a Dashlane account for their email address before you referred them, they're not eligible for the referral program, and you can't get a reward for referring them.
You can only refer four people for a maximum of two years of free Premium. If you've reached the limit already, you can no longer get free Premium for referring more people.
Dashlane discount for nonprofit organizations
Dashlane offers a 10 percent discount to nonprofit organizations signing up for professional plans. To see if you qualify, open our support chatbot by selecting the Chat with bot icon, shown as a speech bubble, at the bottom of any Help Center page. In the chatbot, follow the prompts and add that you want the discount for nonprofit organizations. A support ticket will be opened, and you'll be contacted by email.

- The size of your organization
- Which Dashlane plan you're interested in, or which plan your organization already has
Special offers on Dashlane plans
Dashlane regularly offers time-limited discounts on our plans. Check our website for promotional banners. You can also sign up for our newsletter to get updates about special offers. If you don't have Dashlane yet, you need to open an account before signing up for our newsletter. You can open a Dashlane Free account anytime.
When you have an account, you can sign up for our newsletter in the Dashlane web app.
- In the web app, open the My account menu and select Settings.
- Select Account summary.
- In the View your data and privacy settings section, select Edit.
- Select the checkbox for I'd like to receive emails with tips and special offers for Dashlane.
- Select Save settings. If the checkbox is selected and the Save settings button is gray and inactive, you're already signed up for the newsletter.
Problems using Dashlane promo codes
If you try to use a promo code and it doesn't work, make sure you don't already have a professional plan. Professional plan members can't use Dashlane promo codes for special offers.
