You can safely and securely be removed from a Dashlane plan when you’re leaving an organization.
Important: If your account has the Spaces feature and you have personal data in your Personal Space, you must take action before your account is removed to avoid losing access to that data. The best way to avoid losing access to that data is to export it to a new, personal account before your account is removed from the plan
This action is essential if you log in with single sign-on (SSO) because you'll permanently lose access to your account as soon as it's removed from the plan. You have SSO if you use the same login application to access Dashlane and other work accounts. If you don't know whether you have SSO, ask your manager or plan admin.
What to do before you leave or are removed
Before you leave the organization or are removed from a Dashlane plan, share all work-related logins with the Full access permission level. We recommend that you share work-related logins with a manager, in addition to anyone at the organization responsible for knowledge, tools, and security.
If you've already shared work-related logins with the right people, double-check that you shared them with the Full access permission.

If you have the Spaces feature, export your personal data
If you have the Spaces feature, we recommend retaining access to the data in your Personal Space by importing it to a new, personal account. If you don't want to do that, you have some other options to keep access to your account after you're removed.
- If you’re the only one with the Full access permission to any login that’s shared with other plan members, change their access to that login so that they have Full access. If you have questions about who to share with, ask your plan admin.

Export your data to a DASH file.
Export your data with a secure DASH fileIf you want to keep access to all of your personal logins and Secure Notes but are unsure if you want to sign up for a personal Dashlane account, you can export them with a CSV file and decide later. CSV files aren't encrypted, and others can read them, so be sure to store the file securely.
Export your Dashlane dataIf your account has Spaces and your admin turned on Smart Space Management, your export will include only the logins, Secure Notes, and secrets that were in your Personal Space. You'll lose access to all logins, Secure Notes, and secrets stored in the Business Space.

If you don’t want to export your data, take the following steps before you’re removed from the plan so that you don’t lose access to your account:
-
Update your contact email address to your personal email address.
Change your contact email addressNote: Your professional plan email will continue to be your login email address unless you ask an admin of the professional plan to change it, if possible.
Professional plan admins can change the login email address for plan members - Check if you previously turned on biometrics and biometric recovery in the mobile app. Then, you can reset your Master Password using your fingerprint or face.

What happens to your account after you're removed
What happens to your account when it’s removed depends on whether you log in to Dashlane with single sign-on (SSO) or a Dashlane Master Password. You have SSO if you use the same login application to access Dashlane and other work accounts. If you don't know whether you have SSO, ask your manager or plan admin.
I log in with my Master Password
After your account is removed, it becomes a personal account on a Premium plan for 40 days. After 40 days, your account will remain accessible for export only. You can’t add, edit, copy, or view your passwords in Dashlane. You can purchase a paid plan or export your passwords.
If you had the Spaces feature, you would keep access to all logins, Secure Notes, and secrets that were in your Personal Space when you were on a professional plan. If your admin turned on Smart Space Management, you lose access to all logins, Secure Notes, and secrets that were in the Business Space. If you didn't have the Spaces feature, you would lose access to all logins in your account.
If you’ve already been removed from a professional plan, and you’re trying to log in to the account that was removed, you might be able to regain access to your old account. Regaining access depends on whether you added another contact email, enabled biometrics, or added personal devices to your account before you were removed. If you want to regain access, but you're having trouble logging in, you can follow the troubleshooting steps in this article:
