If you're a member of a professional plan, learn about Spaces in this article
Important: Some professional plans don't have Spaces. If your plan doesn't have Spaces, plan members can't export their logins at all. If you want to allow them to export their logins, go to the Admin Console, select Policies, and then turn on Allow Export. Advise plan members to only keep work-related logins in their accounts.
Spaces help plan admins have better visibility and control over members’ work logins without interfering with members’ personal logins.
The benefits of Spaces and Smart Space Management
Members of professional plans can organize their logins, payments, Secure Notes, and IDs into a Personal Space and a Business Space. For Business plan members, secrets are stored by default in the Business Space, but members can move them to their Personal Space. Members can view the Password Health scores for just their Business Space, just their Personal Space, or both together.
Secure the Password Health of your organization
As an admin, you can also view the Password Health score of your plan members, which is calculated based on their Business Spaces, and any reused passwords in their Personal Spaces. You can't view any specific information about anything in members' Personal Spaces. That way, you can keep your organization secure without interfering with members’ privacy.
More about the Password Health score
Note: Your Password Health score only tracks members who have at least five logins in their Business Space.
You can now automatically notify members of your Dashlane plan about cybersecurity risks with Slack Nudges. If a member has one or more compromised, weak, or reused passwords, Dashlane automatically sends a Slack message encouraging them to create more secure, unique passwords.

You can now monitor weak and compromised passwords across your organization by silently deploying the Dashlane extension on managed devices. Credential Risk Detection identifies if your employees use weak or compromised passwords even when logged out of Dashlane.

Separate work logins from personal logins
With Smart Space Management, you can automatically force logins with work-related domains into members’ Business Spaces. That way, you can ensure that your Password Health score includes all logins related to your organization. You can set up Smart Space Management in your plan's policies.
Prevent members from exporting work data
You can also use Smart Space Management to prevent plan members from exporting the logins that are in their Business Space, while still allowing them to export logins that are in their Personal Space. This helps prevent members from leaving with data related to your organization when you remove them from your plan.
Set up Smart Space Management for your plan
- Select the Dashlane D icon in your browser’s toolbar and enter your admin Master Password if prompted. In the extension pop-up, select More and then Open the Admin Console.
- Select Policies and find the Smart Space Management section.
- In Business space domains, enter any work-related domains. For example, if your organization is called Crisperworks, and members of your organization all have an email address that uses the domain “@crisperworks.com”, enter “crisperworks.com”. If members of your organization all use Slack for work, enter “slack.com”. If you have multiple domains, separate them with a semicolon and no spaces. Then, members’ logins that contain the domain in the Email, Username, Alternative username, or Website will be forced into the Business Space automatically.
- (Optional) Members can still move any logins back to their Personal Spaces if they want. To prevent members from doing that, turn on Move company items to Business Space. Then members can't move logins with work-related domains out of their Business Space.
Important: Members can add additional logins to the Business Space if they want, and you can’t choose which payments, Secure Notes, or IDs go in the Business Space.
- (Optional) Turn on Revoke access to company items for removed users. This policy prevents members from exporting their Business Space logins.
Note: They can still export logins, payments, Secure Notes, or IDs from their Personal Space.
