You can unlock Dashlane faster with your face or fingerprint when you turn one of these options on:
- Biometric unlock in your web browser and on Android. With this option in your web browser, you can also choose to unlock Dashlane with a security key, your phone or tablet, or your device PIN.
- Use Face ID or Use Touch ID in the Dashlane app for iPhone, iPad, and macOS.
You'll turn these options on separately for each device or browser where you use Dashlane. If your account has a Master Password, we’ll still ask you to enter it occasionally.
In your web browser, this option is only available for accounts protected by a Master Password. On mobile and in the macOS app, all Dashlane accounts have this option.

Overview: Unlock Dashlane
Turn on biometric unlock in your web browser
Biometric unlock works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera, but not in Firefox or Safari. You can't turn on biometric unlock in your web browser if you have 2-factor authentication (2FA) turned on for every time you log in to Dashlane.
Use 2FA to protect your Dashlane account
