When you import a CSV file and assign some items to an existing, shared Collection, Dashlane creates a new, non-shared collection. The items aren't added to the shared collection. This behavior is expected and is in place as a security measure to prevent accidentally sharing sensitive items with others.
Workaround:
- After the import, go to the web version and open the original shared collection.
- Select Add items to the collection.
- Select the items that were imported that you want to be part of this shared collection.
- After the correct items are added, you can delete the duplicate, non-shared collection.
Example:
Step 1: On the import page, the items are assigned to the EMEA collections, which are shared.
Step 2: Completed import and the duplicated collection with the same name.
