These alerts work in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera browsers.
Vault phishing alerts appear when you try to autofill or copy-and-paste login info on a website or app that isn't associated with that login in your Dashlane account. They're designed to ensure that you trust the site or app before you enter your login info.
For example, if you've saved a login for shopdisney.com, you'll get a warning if you try to autofill or copy-and-paste that login on disneyyyplus.com.

How do vault phishing alerts work?
Vault phishing alerts for your computer browser
These alerts appear in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge when you have the Dashlane browser extension installed.
You get a warning if you copy and paste your login info from Dashlane to a site that isn't associated with that login in Dashlane.
This warning appears only once for each website unless you log out of Dashlane and log back in. It won't appear again if you refresh the page after copying your login information, but it appears if you try to copy and paste the same login on the same site on a new page.
The warning also shows up if you go to the HTTP version of a site saved in Dashlane as HTTPS. For example, if you have a login for https://amazon.com, you'll see an alert when using that login on http://amazon.com.
Vault phishing alerts for your mobile app
You get a warning on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device if you're trying to autofill login info on a site or in an app that isn't saved for that login in Dashlane.
You also get a warning on Android if you're trying to autofill your info on a new app that looks potentially risky. We only show this warning if the app isn't already linked to the login in your Dashlane account.
Important: All Dashlane security alerts follow our zero-knowledge principle. We identify potential phishing risks without ever having access to your passwords or other data stored in your Dashlane account.

What do I do if I get a vault phishing alert?
You have two options when you get a vault phishing alert:
- If you don't trust the app or site, select Don’t trust, X, or Cancel and search again for the app or site you want to log in to.
-
If you recognize and trust the site, select Trust and autofill, Trust and paste, Trust and fill, or Allow autofill. Dashlane will then link the site or app to your login, and you won’t see this alert again.
If you want to report a phishing attack, select Chat with bot in the bottom right of this page.
