You can create and store passkeys in the Dashlane app, but you’ll always start on the website or app where you plan to use the passkey.
For example, to use a passkey for Adobe, open your Adobe account settings and look for an option like Add passkey. During setup, you’ll be prompted to save the passkey to your Dashlane vault.
Below, you’ll find detailed instructions for saving passkeys to Dashlane. If you have trouble setting up a passkey for a specific account, visit the support site for that website or app.

Can I log in to Dashlane with a passkey?
Create a passkey and save it in the Dashlane web app
- Log in to the Dashlane browser extension
- Go to a website or app that uses passkeys, like Google or Adobe. You can also test passkeys on the demo site WebAuthn.io.

Select the option to create or add a passkey. For some websites and apps, you'll find this option directly on the login page. For others, you need to sign in and go to your account or security settings.
Note: If you can’t find this option, check the website or app’s support site for passkey setup steps.
- When you select the option to create or add a passkey, Dashlane asks if you want to save your passkey in our app. Select Confirm.

Some sites will ask you to enter your Master Password, use biometrics, or enter your PIN. Enter your Master Password and select Unlock, or use your face, fingerprint, or PIN.
Why does Dashlane ask for my Master Password when I use a passkey?
