We recommend that you keep Dashlane updated to take advantage of the full benefits of our apps. To see the process for updating your app, select where you're using Dashlane.
To update Dashlane when using your computer, you need to update the Dashlane extension. The process depends on the browser you're using. Select your browser.
Firefox
- Right-click the Dashlane D and select Manage extension.
- Select the Tools for all add-ons icon, shown as a cogwheel.
- Select Check for updates to update your extension. You can see your current version number in the extension settings.
Safari
- Open the Mac App Store.
- Select Updates.
- For Dashlane, select Update. If Dashlane isn't listed as needing an update, you have the latest version.
Edge and Opera
These steps work for Microsoft Edge and certain other browsers like Opera.
- Select the extensions menu, shown as a puzzle piece or a cardboard box.
- In the pop-up, select Manage Extensions.
- Turn on Developer mode and select Update. You can see your current version number next to the extension name.
Chrome and other browsers
These steps work for Google Chrome and certain other browsers like Brave and Vivaldi.
- Right-click the Dashlane D and select Manage extension.
- Turn on Developer mode and select Update. You can see your current version number below the description of the extension.
- Open the Google Play Store and select the user icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Manage apps & device.
- You can select Update all to update all of your apps. To update only the Dashlane app, select Updates available. Then find Dashlane on the list and select Update.
Important: You can lose your data if you update your apps without turning off the setting Offload Unused Apps. Before updating, we recommend you go to your device Settings, select App Store, and turn off Offload Unused Apps.
To update Dashlane, open the App Store. Then find Dashlane and select Update. If Open appears next to the Dashlane app, you have the latest version.
