Your Master Password is what unlocks your Dashlane account. Only you know your Master Password, and it is never shared with or stored by Dashlane.
In the past, this meant that if you forgot your Master Password, your data in Dashlane could no longer be decrypted, and you'd need to reset the account to begin using Dashlane again.
But now, if you've activated biometrics for your Dashlane account on your Android or iOS device, you can reset your Master Password with your biometrics. You then can create a new Master Password and regain access to your account without losing your data.
Note: Master Password reset with biometrics is also available for the new Safari app. Learn how to activate biometrics on the Safari app.
