If Microsoft Edge says the Dashlane extension “no longer meets Microsoft Edge standards and may be removed soon,” you don’t need to do anything. Dashlane still works in Edge, and your account and data are safe.
Why you’re seeing this warning
Microsoft is phasing out the older extension framework, Manifest V2 (MV2), and moving to Manifest V3 (MV3) to improve extension security and performance. Edge shows this warning on extensions that still use MV2, including the current Dashlane extension for Edge.
The warning doesn’t mean the extension or your data are at risk. Dashlane fully supports the current extension, and your data remains encrypted and secure.
Will Edge remove the Dashlane extension?
No. We’ll release the updated extension before Microsoft stops supporting MV2 extensions, so you’ll keep using Dashlane in Edge without interruption.
What we’re doing
We’re updating the Dashlane extension for Edge to MV3 and plan to release it by the end of 2026. Once the update is installed, the warning will disappear.
What you need to do
Nothing. Keep using Dashlane in Edge as usual. When the new version is ready, Edge will update the extension automatically through the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. You won’t need to reinstall the extension, reconfigure anything, or move any data.
