As an admin of a professional plan, you can migrate your organization's logins and other data from LastPass to Dashlane in four steps.
Step 1: Deploy Dashlane to your organization
Use our deployment guide to create a professional plan. With this guide, you'll learn how to access the Admin Console, choose security settings, and add and onboard plan members.

Step 2: Import data from LastPass into Dashlane
Everyone at your organization who uses LastPass needs to move their own LastPass data to Dashlane. Your plan members can import data directly from LastPass using the Dashlane web app. Direct import is the safest and easiest way to move their data. If they have problems with direct import, they can also export their data from LastPass to a CSV file and then import the file into Dashlane.
Note: Direct import doesn't work for members of LastPass business plans who log in to their LastPass account with Single Sign-On (SSO). If your organization uses SSO to log in to LastPass, ask your plan members to import your LastPass data to Dashlane from a downloaded CSV
Import data directly from LastPass
Your plan members can follow these steps to import their data directly using the Dashlane web app.
- Log in to the web app
- Select Import data in the top right of the app. If you don't see the Import data button, open the Vault menu in the top left of the app, select Settings, and then select Import data.
- In the Import source menu, select LastPass.
- Select Directly from LastPass and then Go to LastPass.
-
You'll be taken to the LastPass login page if you're not logged in already. Log in to your LastPass account. Then you'll be redirected back to the Dashlane app.
If you're already logged in to LastPass, your LastPass vault will open briefly, and you'll be redirected back to Dashlane.
-
In Dashlane, enter your LastPass login details again, and select Unlock data.
Note: If you're a member of a professional plan with Spaces turned on, you'll be asked whether you want to import your data to your Personal or Business Space. Select the Space you want to import to, and then select Next.
-
Preview your import. You can change whether Dashlane imports an item as a login, Secure Note, or payment method. You can also choose not to import an item.
Note: Professional plan members whose teams have Spaces can choose whether specific items go to their Personal or Business Spaces.
- Select Import items. You'll see a confirmation with the number of items imported.
The import will include logins, Secure Notes, and payment methods. Information that we weren't able to import to a specific field will appear in the Note section of logins or the content of the Secure Note. LastPass folders become Dashlane collections.
