Can I log in to Dashlane with a passkey?
Log in with a passkey saved in the Dashlane web app
- Log in to the Dashlane browser extension
- Go to the website or app you want to log in to.
-
Enter your username or select the account you want to use.
For some sites or apps, you need to specify that you want to log in with a passkey, not a password. For example, if Adobe asks you to enter your password, select Sign in with passkey.
- If you have a passkey saved in Dashlane, we ask if you want to use it to log in. Select Confirm.
-
In some cases, you'll need to enter your Master Password and select Unlock. Some sites and apps require this extra step, called "user verification," anytime you create or use a passkey.
To make logging in with a passkey easier, turn on biometric unlock or PIN unlock in your Dashlane settings. You'll use your face, fingerprint, or PIN code instead of your Master Password during this step.
If you log in to Dashlane using single sign-on (SSO), you won't have biometric unlock or PIN unlock settings for Dashlane for your web browser. Instead, the first time you create or use a passkey on sites that require user verification, we'll ask you to create a passkey verification PIN. After that, you'll enter the same PIN each time you use a passkey for one of these sites on this device.
