If you've forgotten your Master Password and lost your recovery key, you can't recover your account and items stored in your vault unless you have other recovery options turned on. Check if you've turned on Biometric recovery in your mobile app or turned on admin-assisted recovery if you're a member of a professional plan.

Biometric recovery

If you've set up Dashlane on your Android or iOS (Apple) device to unlock your account with biometrics like your fingerprint or face, you can also turn on Biometric recovery. Then if you enter the wrong password or fail to authenticate when logging in, you can recover your account with biometrics without losing any data.

Admin-assisted recovery

Admin-assisted recovery isn't available to Business plan members using SSO. SSO means you use one login application to access Dashlane and other work accounts. Instead of a Master Password, you use your regular work password to log in to Dashlane. If you don't know whether you have SSO, ask your manager or plan admin.

If you're a member of a professional plan, admin-assisted recovery can help you and your admin recover your account if you forget your Master Password. To use admin-assisted recovery, you have to turn it on before you forget your Master Password.

Without any recovery methods set up, the only option is to do a full account reset so that you can create a new Master Password to access your account. Resetting your Dashlane account deletes all items saved in your vault.
