How do I know when to trust an email I received from Dashlane? – Dashlane

You should do two things to find out if the email you received is a real message from Dashlane:

Make sure the email address of the sender ends in @dashlane.com.
Look for our logo next to the message in your inbox or next to the sender's email address when you open the email.

The logo is created using a standard called Brand Indicator for Message Identification (BIMI), which confirms that the message is an official communication from Dashlane. BIMI logos are how brands prove that they are who they say they are when communicating with customers.

Note: Not all email providers show BIMI logos.

What do I do if I think an email claiming to be from Dashlane is fake?

Don't click any links, open any attachments, or reply.
Forward the email to phishing@dashlane.com.

Note: Forward the email with full headers if you can. If you don't know how to forward with headers, you can forward it normally.
Delete the email.
