Enable and try autofill (Android)
Dashlane can autofill your data online and in the apps on your mobile devices. As long as you've updated to the latest version of Dashlane and selected Dashlane as your password manager, you can access and autofill your Dashlane data.
Enable autofill for Android
Start from the Get started with Dashlane section of the For you tab and select Enable and try Autofill. You'll need to select Dashlane as your preferred service for autofill.
Confirm that you want to change your preferred service to Dashlane and turn on autofill for Chrome and Brave in your browser settings if you use either of those browsers. Then, you're ready to use Dashlane to autofill your logins and more as you visit websites and use apps online.

Enable and try autofill (Apple devices)
Dashlane can autofill your data online and in the apps on your Apple devices. As long as you've updated to the latest version of Dashlane and selected Dashlane as your password manager, you can access and autofill your Dashlane data.
Enable autofill for Apple devices
Start in the Get started with Dashlane section of the For you tab and select Enable and try autofill. You'll need to select Dashlane as your preferred service for autofill.
-
On the AutoFill & Passwords screen, turn on the Dashlane option in the Autofill from section.
We strongly recommend that you turn off the Passwords option. If both options are on, you may experience a less effective autofill.
Note: If you haven't updated to the latest operating system, you'll turn off Keychain rather than Passwords.
- You can also choose Dashlane for the Set Up Codes in section, which allows you to open verification code setup links and QR codes in the Dashlane app.
- A checkmark will appear next to the autofill task in the Get started with Dashlane section of the For you tab.

Check for breaches
When you set up Dark Web Monitoring, Dashlane scans the dark web for any personal information accessed illegally.
To begin, provide at least one email address for monitoring. Then, complete the confirmation sent to your email to verify that the address is accurate. Dashlane will send alerts if any threats surface. Personal information appearing on the dark web often results from a data breach.
If you’re part of a professional plan and your admin sets up Dark Web Insights, you'll automatically receive Dark Web Alerts.
The "dark web" refers to hidden websites that are sometimes used for illegal activities, such as selling and using other people's personal data.
Notifications
The Notifications section collects all your crucial alerts. The newest, unread notifications appear at the top. You'll see these alerts and notifications when they apply:
- Dark Web Alerts about your personal information that someone else may have accessed illegally
- Security alerts about breaches that may have compromised your accounts
- Timely events, such as when you start a trial
- Sharing invitations from other Dashlane users always appear at the top of the For you tab
Dark Web Alerts
When you set up Dark Web Monitoring, Dashlane scans the web for any personal information that has been accessed illegally by others. Dashlane sends an alert if any threats surface. Personal information appearing on the dark web often results from a data breach. We recommend changing any passwords related to an alert as soon as possible.

Security alerts
Dashlane sends alerts to help keep your account and data secure. We offer different alert types depending on your plan. Some alerts require you or the admin of your Dashlane professional plan to set up the alert for you.
For example, you'll receive an alert when a password saved in Dashlane for a company or website that has had a security breach is detected. You'll also get an alert when you visit a fake site designed to steal your Dashlane login info.
Sharing invitations
When another Dashlane customer shares a login or Secure Note with you, an email with the invitation is sent to the contact email address you provided. You can also find a list of pending sharing invitations at the top of the For you tab.
You need to accept the invitation to add the login or Secure Note to your Dashlane vault. The shared login appears in alphabetical order with the sender's email address or username and the shared icon, shown as two people. You can now autofill the login details whenever you visit that website. Shared Secure Notes also appear with the shared icon.

Explore Dashlane
The Explore Dashlane section outlines additional tasks to help you secure your account and enhance your overall experience. This section appears if you have at least one task to complete. After you complete all applicable tasks, the section will disappear.
You’ll find tasks that are compatible with your device. For example, you can set up Dashlane on your Apple Watch from your iPhone, but not from the macOS app. If you previously turned on a setting, you won't see it in the list.
Tasks that you've dismissed or haven't completed from the Get started with Dashlane section will reappear in the Explore Dashlane section. Then, you can always return to your tasks later.
