Note: You can't require a Master Password to open items if you log in with single sign-on (SSO). For passwordless accounts protected by a PIN or a security key, item protection is only available on mobile for Secure Notes when you have biometrics like your face and fingerprint turned on.

Passwordless login for Dashlane
You can protect a login, Secure Note, or secret so that it asks for your Master Password, or your face, or fingerprint every time it's copied, viewed, or autofilled. You can protect items one at a time, or protect all your logins at once.
Tip: You unlock protected items with your Master Password by default. To use your face or fingerprint instead when you view, copy, or autofill in Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser, turn on Biometric unlock for Dashlane on the web.

Important: Protecting a login, secret or Secure Note doesn't carry over once it's shared. If you add a protected item to a collection that's already shared, the item is no longer protected.
Note: You'll always need to enter your Master Password when you copy, view, or autofill the details of payment methods like credit cards, whether or not they have item protection turned on. After you enter your Master Password to use a payment method, we won't ask again for the next five minutes. You can use your face or fingerprint instead of your Master Password when you autofill payment methods in Google Chrome or another Chromium browser.
