If you lose your recovery codes, you can get more by text message using the phone number you entered when you turned on 2-factor authentication (2FA).
Note: We can't currently send recovery codes by text to mobile numbers from Singapore, Curaçao, or the Dominican Republic. If you have a phone number from one of these countries, you can set up 2FA using that number. But make sure to save your recovery codes in a safe place because we can't send you more codes by text.
What are recovery codes?
When you first turn on 2FA for your Dashlane account, we ask you to save recovery codes. These codes are helpful if you lose the phone you use with 2FA. You can use the codes as a temporary solution to access your account and turn off 2FA.
To access the recovery codes page, you must have the Dashlane browser extension installed and be logged out. If you try to open the recovery link while logged in, you'll be taken to the app and prompted to log out first. If the extension isn't installed, you'll be asked to install it before continuing.

If you're part of a professional plan and need new recovery codes, you can ask your admin to generate them.
