Over the last several years, Dashlane has been innovating to deliver even greater value and comprehensive security to you and the millions of other customers who rely on us to secure their digital future.
As part of our continued investment in security, we've streamlined our personal plans by discontinuing the Free plan for existing and new users. We're focusing on developing advanced security features to defend your data from evolving threats, such as phishing scams, credential abuse, and breaches.
The Dashlane Free plan has been discontinued and is no longer available. If you're already on a paid personal or professional plan, nothing is changing for you.
We have easy-to-follow instructions to guide you if you previously used the Free plan.
Benefits of paid personal plans
With a paid Premium or Friends & Family plan, you gain access to advanced security and convenience features not available on the Free plan:

- AI-Powered Scam Protection: Set up your security and stay ahead of scams with alerts that warn you before you autofill your information on suspicious sites
- Secure sharing: Share passwords and Secure Notes directly from your vault with other Dashlane users
- Customer Support: All customers with paid plans can get help from our Customer Support team by selecting Chat with bot in the bottom right of this page.
- VPN: Stay protected on public Wi-Fi—from your favorite coffee shop to your next flight gate—not included during the trial period

The communication you may have received about the Free plan being discontinued only applies to individual users on a standalone Free plan. You and your Friends & Family plan members can continue to use Dashlane without interruption.
If you leave or are removed from your Password Management plan, your account becomes a personal account on a Premium plan for 40 days. After 40 days, you can purchase the Premium or Friends & Family plan or export your passwords to a CSV file.
How does this change affect customers who were granted unlimited data sync on multiple devices years ago?
Your access will remain unchanged. This change will affect only current Dashlane Free users or customers who stop paying for a personal Dashlane plan.
I already have a subscription. Why did I receive an email about Dashlane Free?
You likely received this email because you have a different Dashlane account with Dashlane Free, where the contact email address is the same as your paid account. If you want, you can delete the Free account. Make sure to enter the Dashlane email login of your Free account on the deletion page to avoid accidentally deleting your paid account.
