Friends & Family admins enjoy the benefits of Dashlane Premium. Anyone invited to join the plan has access to the features included in our Advanced plan.

You can sign up for a Friends & Family plan anytime, whether or not you already have Dashlane. In most cases, Friends & Family will replace your existing plan, and you can invite nine other people. As a Friends & Family admin, you'll enjoy the benefits of Dashlane Premium. Anyone you invite to join will have access to the features included in our Advanced plan.
Members of Dashlane Business plans—but not Starter or Team plans—have access to Friends & Family automatically. If you're a member of a Dashlane Business plan, you don't need to buy a Friends & Family plan.
You can also become a member of a Friends & Family when someone invites you to join their plan.

After you subscribe, your account has all our Premium features. An invitation page opens after you sign up. From that page, you can invite nine other people to join, and they'll have access to the features included in our Advanced plan. Share the invitation link with the people you want to invite.
You can also find the invitation link in your Friends & Family Dashboard anytime. You can access your Friends & Family Dashboard from the Settings menu in the Dashlane web app, but not our Android or iOS (Apple) mobile apps.
If you have a Dashlane plan already, you can upgrade to the Friends & Family plan.
Get Friends & Family with Dashlane Business
The Friends & Family plan is included with Dashlane Business plans but not Dashlane Starter or Team plans.
If you're part of a paid Dashlane Business plan, you have access to the Friends & Family plan and can invite up to nine other people to join at no extra cost.
How do I get Friends & Family as a Business plan member?
After you join a Dashlane Business account, you'll receive an email to add the Friends & Family plan to your account. To access your Friends & Family plan, you need to follow the email's instructions—even if you're an admin of the Business plan.
When you add the Friends & Family plan to your account, make sure to use the work email address that you also use to log into Dashlane.
After completing this step, you can access your Friends & Family plan. You can also invite your family and friends to enjoy Dashlane. Copy the invitation link in your Friends & Family Dashboard and send the link to the people you want to invite.
What will happen after I leave Dashlane Business?
If your Dashlane Business plan ends, your Friends & Family plan is no longer active for you or the other members you invited. When the Friends & Family plan becomes inactive, all members receive an email saying the plan has expired.
No one loses any data saved in their Dashlane account when a Friends & Family plan ends.
You and other members of your Friends & Family plan who were new to Dashlane before your current plan will have Dashlane Free after the current plan ends. Otherwise, you'll go back to the plan you had before. If you want to sign up for the Friends & Family plan again, you'll need to buy the plan.

Accept an invitation to join a Friends & Family plan
To join a Friends & Family plan, follow the invitation link you received.
If you already have a Dashlane account, add yourself to the plan using the same email address you use to log in to Dashlane. If you're new to Dashlane, add the email you want to use and create your Dashlane account.
We'll pause your current plan if you already have Dashlane. If your previous plan included a VPN, you'll still have access to the VPN. If the Friends & Family plan ends, your previous plan begins again. Your data stays in your account even if you leave the Friends & Family plan.

What happens when you switch from another paid plan to Friends & Family
Paid plans include Dashlane Advanced, Essentials, Premium, and Premium Plus.
When you buy a Friends & Family plan as a member of a paid plan, the new plan replaces your current plan. If you're in the middle of the billing cycle, you may be eligible for a discount on the new plan or a partial refund of your current plan.
When you join someone else's Friends & Family plan as a member of another paid plan, we pause your previous subscription. If your previous plan included a VPN, you'll still have access to the VPN. When the Friends & Family plan ends or is canceled, your previous subscription starts again automatically.
Can I switch from Dashlane Business to Friends & Family?
As a member of a Dashlane Business plan, you already have access to Dashlane Friends & Family at no extra cost. You don't need to buy another Friends & Family plan, and you can't join another Friends & Family plan.
What happens when you switch from Dashlane Starter to Friends & Family
When you buy a Friends & Family plan as a member of a Dashlane Starter or Team plan, you add Friends & Family benefits to your current subscription. As a Friends & Family admin, you'll enjoy the benefits of Dashlane Premium, and anyone you invite will have access to the features included in our Advanced plan.
Members of Starter plans already have access to Dashlane Advanced, and members of Team plans already have access to Dashlane Premium. You don't add any benefits when you accept an invite to Friends & Family as a member of a Dashlane Team or Starter plan.
All Dashlane accounts in a Friends & Family plan are individual. If you buy or join a Friends & Family plan, the other accounts on the plan aren't connected to your Starter or Team plan.

Data and privacy with Friends & Family
When you have a Friends & Family plan, your data remains private. The other members of your plan can only see logins and other data that you choose to share with them.
Sharing with a member of your Friends & Family plan is the same as sharing with any other Dashlane customer. You can securely share individual items or all of your Dashlane data, but only when you choose.

Leave a Friends & Family plan
If you’re a member of a Friends & Family plan, and you want to leave the plan you’re on, contact the admin and ask them to remove you.
When you’re removed, you keep all of your logins and data. You resume whatever plan you had when you joined the Friends & Family plan. If you were new to Dashlane when you joined the Friends & Family plan, you continue with a Free Dashlane plan.
Manage your plan as a Friends & Family admin
As a Friends & Family admin, you can manage your plan's features and members on your Friends & Family Dashboard. Other members of your plan don't have access to the Dashboard.
Note: You can only access the Friends & Family Dashboard from the Dashlane web app, not our mobile apps.
Use your Friends & Family Dashboard
To access your Friends & Family Dashboard in the web app, select My account, Settings, and Friends & Family Dashboard. In the Dashboard, you can manage your plan in these ways:
- See your current members
- Manage your plan settings
- Copy the invitation link to invite new members
- Remove members from your plan
For the moment, Dashlane doesn't offer parental controls with the Friends & Family plan. As a Friends & Family admin, you can add and remove members, but you don't have access to any of your members' data.
Add and remove members from your Friends & Family plan
You can invite new members using the invitation link found in your Friends & Family Dashboard. You can also reset this link in the plan Settings menu. When you reset the invitation link, the previous link no longer works. Reset the link if you've removed a member or sent the link to someone by mistake.
To add a member to your plan, send them the invitation link. They need to follow the link to join. They also need to create a Dashlane account if they don't have one.
Follow these steps to remove a member from your plan:
- Select the X next to the person's email address in the Friends & Family Dashboard.
- In the confirmation pop-up, select Remove. The member receives an email saying they're no longer part of this plan. We recommend also selecting the Reset invitation link checkbox.
If you've removed someone and want to add them to your plan again, send them the current invitation link. You can find the invitation link in your Friends & Family Dashboard.
Can I transfer my plan or make someone else an admin?
A Friends & Family plan can have only one admin. When you buy a Friends & Family plan, you're the admin of that plan. You can only change the current admin if you cancel the plan. The admin account for a Friends & Family plan remains connected to the email address you used to buy the plan. You can't transfer the admin account to another email address even if you have another Dashlane account with a different email.
If you want to move your Friends & Family plan to another email address, we suggest you wait until your current subscription ends. Then cancel your current plan, and start a new Friends & Family plan with the other account.

When you cancel the plan, you keep all of your logins and data. You resume whatever plan you had when you bought the Friends & Family plan. If you were new to Dashlane when you bought the Friends & Family plan, you continue with a Free Dashlane plan. The same applies to members of your plan.
