This article is for employees at organizations that have a Dashlane Business or Business Plus plan with SSO turned on.
If you have been invited to join a professional plan without SSO enabled, see Join a Dashlane professional plan.
Important: Due to Apple limitations, self-hosted SSO isn’t currently available with the Dashlane Safari Extension, but you can use it through the macOS app.
Single sign-on (SSO) integration offers a seamless login experience using your organization’s existing suite of IT tools.
If your organization has turned on SSO for Dashlane, you won't need to use a Master Password to access your Dashlane vault. SSO allows you to create and sign in to your Dashlane account using the SSO login you already use to sign in to other tools at your organization.
This article explains how to create and log in to your Dashlane account with SSO. You can find more information about SSO in other articles in our Help Center:

How to create your Dashlane account with SSO
After your admin has added you to your organization's Dashlane plan, you’ll receive an invite email from Dashlane or an invite link from your admin. When you select to join, you’ll be taken to a webpage where you can create your Dashlane account. Then, you'll have to install the extension to log in to your Dashlane account.
If you've already installed the Dashlane extension in your browser, you'll be prompted to create an account using the extension instead.
After you set up your account, we'll add you to your organization's plan.
Create an SSO account with the Dashlane web app
- Open the invitation link to join your organization's plan. You'll receive this link either directly from your admin or in an email sent by Dashlane.
- The account creation page opens, and then your organization's SSO login page opens. Sign in using your SSO username and password.
- After you log in, a new page opens where you can finalize the account.
- Email: Your email address will populate automatically and can't be edited. This email address will be your Dashlane login ID, which you'll use to log in to Dashlane on all your devices.
- By selecting Next, you're agreeing to our Terms of Service and Privacy policy.
Note: Since you're using your email address with your employer's domain to create your Dashlane account, your IT department may be able to access the information you store in Dashlane, including personal logins. Dashlane has no control over your organization’s policies. We recommend you contact your IT department if you have any questions.
- We'll ask you to add the Dashlane extension to your browser.
Create an SSO account with the Dashlane iPhone app
- Download Dashlane from the Apple App Store.
- When you open the app for the first time, you'll be asked whether you want to create a new account. Select Get started to create your account.
- You'll be prompted to enter an email address. Enter your work email address with your organization's domain name. This email address will be your Dashlane login ID, which you'll use to log in to Dashlane on all your devices.
- Your organization's SSO login page opens. Sign in using your SSO username and password.
- We'll ask if you want to turn on the settings Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN code lock if available for your device. When you turn on one of these settings, you won't have to use SSO login every time you open your Dashlane app.
After creating your account, you can start adding logins, passwords, and other data or turn on autofill to get the full Dashlane experience.

Sign in using SSO if you already have a Master Password
Your admin has enabled single sign-on (SSO), which means that you no longer need to remember your Master Password. From now on, you can log in to Dashlane using the same SSO login that you use for your organization's other applications. To log in with SSO, follow these steps:
- Select Log in with SSO. You'll be taken to your organization's IT page to sign in. If you're already signed in, you'll be taken back.
- If prompted, enter your Master Password again.
- Wait a few seconds, and you'll be taken to the Dashlane web app.
Note: If you have any questions, contact your organization's IT department.
The setting to Automatically log in with SSO on all future logins is selected by default. If you want to manually Log in with SSO on all future logins instead, sign out of Dashlane and then clear the checkbox during your next login.
Important: For automatic login with SSO to work, you need to set your browser to reopen active tabs when restarting. Depending on the browser you're using, look for a setting called "Continue where you left off," "Open tabs from previous session," "Restore your tabs on restart," or something similar.
Automatic login with SSO won't work as expected without this browser setting turned on. For steps to turn this setting on, visit the support site for the browser you're using:
After you log in, the Dashlane icon in your browser toolbar will be green.
