With the Dashlane Premium and Friends & Family plans, you can store unlimited passwords and access your data on unlimited devices. These plans also include Dark Web Monitoring, which checks whether your email addresses appear in data breaches. The Premium plan also includes a virtual private network (VPN), so you can use public Wi-Fi on your iPhone or iPad.

What does the Dashlane app look like on the iPhone and iPad?

In the Dashlane iPhone app, select Home. All the item types appear in a bar near the top. Select an item type to add info.

After you add your information, you can access all of your data in the top menu. Access Notifications, Generator, Tools, and Settings in the bottom menu.
Dashlane on the iPad
On your iPad, you can access your Logins, Secure Notes, Payments, Personal Info, and IDs from the left menu in the Dashlane app.
Select the gear icon at the top of the left menu to open the Settings screen.
Get started
To use Dashlane on the iPhone and iPad, you need to install the Dashlane app from the App Store. After you install the app, you can create an account or log in to your existing account. Then follow the steps in the For you tab to set up your account and add your data and details.
Step 1: Install the app
Only install Dashlane from official sources, such as the App Store.
Step 2: Create or log in to your Dashlane account
If you're part of an organization with single sign-on (SSO) enabled, visit our SSO article. The process is a bit different. SSO means you use one login application to access Dashlane and other work accounts.
If you already have a Dashlane account, log in on your device
If you need to create a new Dashlane account, select whether you want to log in with a Master Password or a 6-digit PIN.

Step 3: Follow the steps in the "For you" tab
After you install Dashlane, the For you tab opens. Use this tab to set up Dashlane and protect your account. You'll find a setup checklist, notifications, and security alerts in one place.
After you finish the checklist, open For you whenever a badge appears on the tab. A badge means you have new notifications or security alerts.

Store alarm codes, account numbers, recovery keys for accounts unrelated to Dashlane, private notes of up to 10,000 characters, and more -

Add your credit cards, bank accounts, and other payment info that you want Dashlane to autofill -

Add all the contact details that you want Dashlane to autofill, including name, phone number, address, email, company website, and more -
Add ID
Add your ID card or passport info that you want Dashlane to autofill -

Add Wi-Fi network information for your home, work, and other places you visit regularly
Manage your account
Set up account recovery options
Recommended: Turn on at least one account recovery method, such as a recovery key, face or fingerprint recovery, or admin-assisted recovery for professional plans. If you forget your Master Password or account PIN, you can use a recovery method to access your account. Without a recovery method, you may need to reset your account, which erases all your data.
Unlock your Apple app with your face, fingerprint, or device-specific PIN
You can set up quick access for your Dashlane account. With quick access, you can lock and unlock Dashlane more easily while your data stays protected.
Dashlane on the iPhone and iPad supports biometric authentication, so you can use your face or fingerprint to unlock the app. You can also unlock Dashlane on your Apple device with a device-specific PIN if you log in with a Master Password.
Dashlane still asks you to enter your Master Password after you restart your device or manually log out. We'll also ask you to enter your Master Password from time to time to help you remember it.
Protect your account and logins with 2-factor authentication (2FA)
2FA adds an extra layer of security to your online life that requires two steps when you log in. If you turn on 2FA for your Dashlane account, you're prompted to enter your password and a token from your authenticator app when you log in.
You can also turn on 2FA for important logins, such as banking, wherever you use Dashlane. After you turn on 2FA, you'll use it to log in to that account everywhere you use Dashlane.
Use autofill on your iPad
No Dashlane D icons appear in form fields when you log in to a website on your iPad. When you click in a field, you’ll see your saved login information above the iPad keyboard. Select the login to autofill the fields.
Select the key icon next to the login information to open your Dashlane vault.

With Universal Clipboard, you can copy content like text and images on one Apple device and paste the content on another Apple device. For example, you can copy a password or credit card info from Dashlane on your iPhone and paste it into a form field on your Mac.
You can turn this setting on in your Dashlane app. However, first, you need to follow the Apple website instructions and check their minimum requirements.
Example: On the Dashlane app for the iPhone, select Settings in the bottom menu, then select General, and turn on Universal Clipboard.
